The cottage was built on the design of the old corrugated clad "Morris" house kits brought into South Africa by the early settlers. These houses can be seen in old historic towns like Kaapsehoop and Pilgrims Rest. We even have a good example of this type of construction in Nottingham Road, St. Johns Church.
